Apprentice: Geomatiker

RapidEye AG is a provider of geospatial management information and solutions, customized

to the needs of clients in the agriculture, forestry, power & communication, environmental

and governmental markets. As its main data source, RapidEye owns and operates a

constellation of five identical high-resolution Earth observation satellites capable of returning

to any point on Earth every day. Combining the knowledge and skills of our professional staff

with the unique features of our satellite constellation and ground processing facility, we are

the only provider who can supply the most up-to-date, customized information to clients

around the world.

As of September 1st, 2011 we will start with the training program (IHK-Abschluss) for

Geomatiker / Geomatikerin.

We cooperate with the Eduard Maurer Oberstufenzentrum in 16761 Hennigsdorf to provide

an overall learning experience. The training runs 3 years and is finalized with an IHK-

examination.

Given our diverse group of employees from many different parts of the world we have

chosen English as the company language. We therefore require our trainees to also have an

excellent command of the English language. Furthermore the following skills and

requirements are needed:

High school diploma (Abitur);

Interest in science and technology;

•

Self-motivated and self starter;

•

Ambitious and committed to achieving success;

•

Team-player with good interpersonal skills;

•

Solid verbal and written communication and comprehension skills;

•

Flexible to adapt to fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
