Background:
RapidEye AG is a provider of geospatial management information and solutions, customized
to the needs of clients in the agriculture, forestry, power & communication, environmental
and governmental markets. As its main data source, RapidEye owns and operates a
constellation of five identical high-resolution Earth observation satellites capable of returning
to any point on earth every day. Combining the knowledge and skills of our professional staff
with the unique features of our satellite constellation and ground processing facility, we are
the only provider who can supply the most up-to-date, customized information to clients
around the world.
As a fast-growing service and customer oriented company, RapidEye is seeking highly
qualified, proactive and reliable team players to work from our headquarters in Brandenburg
an der Havel, Germany. We are currently seeking experienced sales professionals to
manage RapidEye's data and standard products sales through our distributor network. This
is an exciting opportunity for experienced mid or late career staff. We are currently looking
for managers for Africa, Middle East, Asia and North America.
Responsibilities:
Develop, manage and support RapidEye's data distributors in an assigned territory
Accountable for distributor sales, evaluating distributor performance, setting
distributor targets and commitments
Manage legal, licensing and contracts issues associated with distributors and their
sales
Identify and champion new products and programs that will increase distributor sales
Manage distributor relationships including conflict resolution
Coordinate distributor training, joint marketing and other distributor support activities
Requirements:
Experience in supporting or managing a network of distributors
Proven experience in the GIS/Remote Sensing industry
An established network of GIS/Remote Sensing industry relationships with
knowledge of regional practices, market opportunities and the competitive
environment
Proven ability to generate sales directly and enable sales through others
Proven ability to build senior level management and sales relationships
Excellent command of English (oral and written) and appropriate regional languages
Extensive travel required, preferably based from head office in Brandenburg (near
Berlin), Germany
Skills:
Self-motivated, self starter, decision maker
Highly organized, able to prioritize and work under tight deadlines
Ambitious team-player with strong interpersonal skills and a focus on forming
successful partnerships
Flexible to adapt to fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
