Overview:
Under general supervision, performs tasks that are routine to moderately difficult in accordance with specific instructions and established work procedures.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
-Prepare parts and materials for bonding using various adhesives – 25%
-Prepare lay-up components using uncured rubber materials – 30%
-Cutting and measuring patterns from raw materials and using hand tools and/or mechanical devices – 30%
-Operate cure equipment such as an auto-clave and ovens – 15%
Requirements:
High School diploma plus 4 years of directly related engineering technical support experience or an Associate’s degree with a concentration in engineering and physical science plus 2 years of directly related engineering technical support experience or equivalent combination of education and experience and a thorough understanding of mechanical equipment and its operation. The ability to work with tools, both hand and electric and or pneumatic is preferred. Must be able to perform diversified, but semi-repetitive operations following standardized methods and procedures under changing conditions.
In addition to the above education/experience all of the following are mandatory requirements for this position:
Must be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to participate in the respirator program.
Must have and maintain valid driver’s license.
Must be able to work overtime and shift work as required
Physically able to work in a manufacturing environment that will require lifting, sitting, pulling, squatting, kneeling, climbing and standing
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).
