Background:
RapidEye AG is a provider of geospatial management information and solutions, customized
to the needs of clients in the agriculture, forestry, power & communication, environmental
and governmental markets. As its main data source, RapidEye owns and operates a
constellation of five identical high-resolution Earth observation satellites capable of returning
to any point on Earth every day. Combining the knowledge and skills of our professional staff
with the unique features of our satellite constellation and ground processing facility, we are
the only provider who can supply the most up-to-date, customized information to clients
around the world.
As a fast growing service and customer oriented company, RapidEye is seeking highly
qualified, proactive and reliable team players working from a location close to Washington,
DC in the United States. RapidEye has an immediate opening for a Federal Government
Contract/Program Manager to join the Sales Team.
Responsibilities:
•
Manages RapidEye USA's contract relationship with NGA, USGS, USDA and other
governmental entities.
•
Leads business development and program management activities for Federal
DoD/DNI and civilian agency clients
•
Manages Contract compliance, US Sales Strategy, proposal development, program
strategy, operations, and projects within the RapidEye USA Federal Business Unit
Requirements and Skills:
•
At minimum a Bachelors Degree in geography or a geospatial related field.
Alternatively, extensive experience as a military or Federal civilian employee in a
geospatial related function,
•
5+ years experience project and /or program management
•
Demonstrated relationships with decision makers in DoD/DNI agencies and the ability
to obtain a security clearance.

GIS
Utilization
•
Demonstrated understanding of current industry and technology trends
•
Demonstrated ability to plan, propose and close federal sales
•
Thorough understanding of Federal technical and contractual standards including
compliance
•
Ability to plan, organize and manage project schedules, tasks, deliverables, and
human resources
•
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
•
Dynamic, personable and self-motivated personality
•
Exceptional customer service orientation
•
Outstanding presentation, written and oral communication skills
•
Ability to travel 25% of the time (above and beyond local travel).
Desired Specific Experience:
Education, training, experience: The successful candidate will possess leadership qualities
and provide sound advice and counsel on a wide range of contractual and business related
matters. The ideal candidate shall possess a working knowledge of federal government
contracts regulations such as FAR, DFAR and FMS contracts; International Contracting
methods involving International Commercial Terms, ITAR EAR, Export Licenses, and TAAs.
