Background:
RapidEye AG is a provider of geospatial management information and solutions, customized
to the needs of clients in the agriculture, forestry, power & communication, environmental
and governmental markets. As its main data source, RapidEye owns and operates a
constellation of five identical high-resolution Earth observation satellites capable of returning
to any point on Earth every day. Combining the knowledge and skills of our professional staff
with the unique features of our satellite constellation and ground processing facility, we are

As a fast-growing service and customer oriented company, RapidEye is seeking highly
qualified, proactive and reliable team players to work from our headquarters in Brandenburg
an der Havel, Germany. RapidEye has an immediate opening for a highly experienced
Human Resources Manager who is interested in coaching the existing Human Resources
Team. The Human Resources Manager shall support the professionalization and structuring
of the HR-Team with the goal to allow the HR-team to work independently. This position is
an immediate opening in the Human Resources Team on an annual contract basis.
Responsibilities:
•
Perform essential strategic HR Planning and Job Analysis including staffing and
Employee/Management Relations
•
Establish and implement HR Development strategies and policies
•
Address productivity, quality, compensation, and service compliance
•
Develop HR-team within RapidEye
•
Select, implement and maintain systems to be used internally
•
Develop and implement relevant company-wide processes and procedures
•
Training and people development
•
Develop and implement training programs (internal and external, group and
individual) for existing and new members of the RapidEye team
•
Continuously monitor demands of and developments in the market
•
Facilitate know-how transfer between groups
•
Coach employees throughout the company
•
Performance management / - evaluation
•
Establish measures to improve performance and staff motivation where
necessary
•
Recruiting
•
Monitor needs in various company groups
•
Support for teams and groups in recruitment effort (job descriptions, searches,
selection)
•
Develop and maintain knowledge how to recruit key specialists/talents
•
Management and Administration
•
Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, programs and procedures
•
Administer compensation programs
•
Observe rules and regulations, compliance
•
Establish Equal Employment Opportunity and Health & Safety policies
•
Facilitate open communication within the company between all employees
•
Establish and implement and set of quality norms and principles
•
Promote and exercise Continual Improvement standards and practices
Requirements:
•
Bachelor or masters degree required
•
Approximately 15 years of directly related experience in Human Resources
preferably in relevant environment (e.g. professional firms like consulting, law, tax or
IT firms)
•
Broad knowledge of legal compliance issues, compensation and benefits, training
and development, recruiting
•
Experience with employment of foreign nationals a plus
•
International experience desirable
•
Fluent in written and spoken English (company language)
•
Other languages a plus; some German helpful for living in or around Brandenburg
•
Willing to work hands-on
