Background:
RapidEye AG is a provider of geospatial management information and solutions, customized
to the needs of clients in the agriculture, forestry, power & communication, environmental
and governmental markets. As its main data source, RapidEye owns and operates a
constellation of five identical high-resolution Earth observation satellites capable of returning
to any point on Earth every day. Combining the knowledge and skills of our professional staff
with the unique features of our satellite constellation and ground processing facility, we are
the only provider who can supply the most up-to-date, customized information to clients
around the world.
As a fast-growing service and customer oriented company, RapidEye is seeking highly
qualified, proactive and reliable team players to work from our headquarters in Brandenburg
an der Havel, Germany. RapidEye has an immediate opening for a Marketing
Communications Manager to join the Marketing Team.
Responsibilities:
•
Develop, implement and manage all internal and external marketing communication
strategies and activities worldwide to increase market awareness, promote brand
recognition, generate new business opportunities and support sales
•
Evaluate the success of various communication campaigns, and provide and
implement recommendations for improvement
•
Oversee and handle day-to-day decision making within the Marketing office during
the absence of the Marketing Manager at industry trade shows and events
•
Plan and direct all PR programs worldwide, and manage daily press relations
•
Plan and assist in writing press releases, articles, marketing and sales materials,
including
showcases, customer success stories and white papers
•
Assist in developing, managing and maintaining all online communication vehicles,
including newsletters, direct mailings, advertising and social media
•
Direct and assist in managing corporate events, and PR events
•
Develop and oversee Marketing processes with the Marketing Manager as part of the
ISO Audit 2011
•
Manage and assist in mentoring Marketing trainees, apprentices and interns
Requirements and Skills:
•
Business, Marketing or Communications degree
•
Proven experience in development and implementation of communication strategies
•
Proven project management, leadership and corporate communication skills
•
Ability to lead while working independently on multiple, ongoing projects with
aggressive timelines
•
Ability to collaborate with and present strategic information to large groups of
employees, partners and customers
•
Highly structured, organized, able to prioritize and work under tight deadlines
•
Ambitious and committed to achieving corporate marketing and sales objectives
•
Self-motivated and self-starter
•
Must enjoy being part of a multidisciplinary team
•
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•
Fluent in written and spoken English, German a plus, other languages welcome
Desired Specific Experience:
•
3+ years successful experience in marketing complex offers to B2B audience in an
international environment
•
Experience in remote sensing / geo-information market desirable
