To work on permanent contract on customer site in Munich, we are looking for a motivated and experienced:
SATELLITE ENGINEERING MANAGER (M/F)
Tasks and responsibilities:
- The Satellite Engineering Manager will be responsible for the preparation of all satellite missions, including the In Orbit Verification (IOV) and the Full Operational Capability (FOC)
- He or she will oversee all Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) and In Orbit Testing (IOT) phases before handing over to the Operations Service Manager (OSM) for the routine activities.
Qualifications and experience:
- The right candidate needs to be experienced with Senior management responsibilities overseeing all procedure preparations for LEOP, IOT and Routine missions including management of major European Space Agencies and the execution of LEOP and IOT phases (i.e. not Routine).
- He or she must be able to manage 2 LEOP centres, a constellation operator and IOT providers with different working methods in order to achieve an efficient working process.
- It is expected that the Candidate should have more than 10 years of experience in European Space programs, have worked with and knows the working methods of ESA, CNES and DLR, and has at least 7 years of experience in senior management positions.
- Experiences in SCOS, MOIS, ESA type simulation facilities are of advantage.
- Fluency in English, the ability to work in international teams together with a high degree of autonomy and a pro-active and confident personality is needed.
