Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
• 30% - Establish and maintain information in the ERP System to support an approved, compliant purchasing system in accordance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, including creating reports for enterprise procurement and property processes.
• 30% - Research, establish and maintain internal and external web-based content relating to procurement processes (e.g., policies, procedures, guidance, terms and conditions, transaction documentation, training materials, etc.)
• 25% - Develop and conduct training of Buyers. Make workload assignments and provide assistance or direction to less senior Supply Chain Materiel Management personnel.
• 15% - Perform audit/reviews of purchase orders and supporting documentation. Perform internal audits and be a functional point of contact for other audits involving the Supply Chain group.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Act as Supply Chain Materiel Management resource on software implementation teams, as needed. Act as functional point of contact, support ISO, SOX and other audits.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline and six years of directly related experience in federal government or the Aerospace and Defense industry. Professional association or government certification or advanced degree desired and/or demonstrated continuous learning in government contracts or procurement.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of FAR and other government contracting processes, including flowdowns and ability to conduct computer (internet) research and keep abreast with changing requirements, and make policy recommendations reflecting best practices for compliance.
• Intimate knowledge of contract pricing and business arrangements, including risk and performance management.
• Understanding Program Management, Contracts, and Supply Chain Management disciplines in an Aerospace and Defense contractor/subcontractor environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to research, analyze and write detailed technically complex policies, procedures, training material and guidelines as well as more general written/verbal communication styles of documents, including presentations to staff, customers and suppliers.
• Ability to interact with senior management and staff at all levels and all Aerojet sites, including leading teams and managing projects.
• Ability to represent Aerojet at professional association events and conferences, whether as attendee or speaker or contributor to industry work groups or process improvement teams.
• Travel will be required to other Aerojet locations periodically, as well as attendance at professional conferences/training.
• Knowledge of modern ERP systems for procurement and property functions, whether in government or industry, including experience in large scale ERP/procurement system integration projects preferred.
U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person required.
