Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
Under very general direction, independently determines approach to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts and practices.
50% - Analyze and make recommendations regarding manpower resource allocation for maintenance requirements. Plan, schedule, lead and oversee work performed by a multi-craft crew for repair and routine maintenance efforts specifically related to all high and low pressure steam/hotwater boiler and underground water systems. This includes, but is not limited to conducting ongoing daily and monthly crew safety meetings, daily maintenance of Title V records for all boilers and other duties as assigned. Coordinate with the Maintenance Crew Chief and customer in determining the proper planning and scheduling of maintenance work orders. Determine the materials required to accomplish the work and place appropriate orders for the same in an effort to have all of the necessary materials, tools, windows, and permits prior to work assignment.
40% - Maintain Preventive Maintenance records, determining if the established requirements are adequate, making appropriate changes and selecting proper materials and parts for accomplishing these requirements. Coordinate with the Maintenance Crew Chief and the customer in scheduling equipment/systems availability. Establish the requirements and obtain approved Safety work permits. Evaluate and establish Process Safety Management (PSM) Preventive Maintenance Records. Accomplish Special Project assignments utilizing technical skills and abilities as related to maintenance and process equipment. Evaluate processes and systems to make improvement recommendations. Perform Failure analysis by reviewing past equipment records and analyzing existing equipment conditions. Establish Predictive Maintenance procedures and requirements on facilities and process equipment.
10% - Participate in the review of construction projects with the Facility Engineers and the customer. Develop the schedule of work necessary to incorporate the required construction projects. Utilize and incorporate available computer programs in the development of spreadsheets that will help consolidate and analyze existing data.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in an appropriate discipline and six (6) years of hands-on experience with the maintenance and repair of high and low pressure boilers and underground water systems (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Requires prior planning and scheduling of maintenance crafts (i.e., Maintenance Mechanic, Journeyman Electrician and Refrigeration Mechanic) in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
Familiarity with title 8 Boiler and Fired Pressure Vessel Orders and Title V Air Emission requirements is desired.
Experience with high voltage distribution and electrical systems is desired.
Also requires knowledge and experience using a CMMS.
U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person required.
